Tips for choosing the ideal ladder

There are different styles of ladders, each of them helping us to do a better job according to our needs; but it's not just about choosing the style, but also the length, its performance, and the material. In this blog post, we will tell you more about the information you need to select the right ladder.

Height

So that the ladder is not too small or too large, we must have an idea of the height for which we will need it. In addition, height is one of the biggest risks if not properly considered. The following table shows some ladder measurements and the maximum height we can reach, considering a person with a height of 1.65 meters with a vertical reach of 30 centimeters.

Remember that the maximum height allowed to climb a ladder is 2 steps before the top; climbing higher could cause you to lose your balance and fall.

Capacity

Ladders are designed and built to protect your safety up to a certain weight. The maximum weight on some ladders is 375 pounds, about 170 kilograms; this weight considers the operator, their tools, materials, etc. In table two, you can see an example of the approximate weights of objects that we commonly take up a ladder.
